Joshua Chapter 2.
Jericho was shut up tight.
Nobody went out. Nobody came in.
But faith can find a crack in the strongest wall.
Two spies. One roof. One chance.
I live on the edge, right on the wall
Waiting for the stones to crumble and fall.
I've sold my time to the men of this town
But I know that Yahweh is bringing it down.
I heard about the water that dried in the sea
I heard that your God sets the prisoners free.
So hide in the stalks, don't make a sound
The King's men are hunting, sniffing the ground.
I don't want money, I don't want gold
I want a future before I get old.
Swear to me now, by the God of the sky
That you'll save my house when the arrows fly!
Tie the Scarlet Cord in the window sill!
When the world falls down, I'll be standing still!
Red like the blood, bright like the hope
Hanging my life on a crimson rope.
Jericho is shaking, the end is near
But the Scarlet Cord drives away my fear!
I'm betting it all on the God of the Jews
I've got nothing left to lose!
"And she tied the scarlet cord in the window."
The wall fell flat.
But my house stood.
Rahab.
